Third-Party AI Models Used:
We use Google Gemini or ChatGPT-4 for photo analysis. The specific service used can change at any time, so you must agree to both terms.
By using our Tagara app, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the service agreements of the third-party AI services we utilize, including Google Gemini AI and ChatGPT. These services are governed by their respective privacy policies and terms of use:

- Google Gemini AI: We comply with Google’s service agreement for Google Gemini AI, which includes guidelines on data usage, security, and user privacy. For more details, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- ChatGPT: We adhere to the service agreement for ChatGPT provided by OpenAI, ensuring responsible and ethical use of data processed through their models. For more information, please refer to OpenAI's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Enabling AI Models: The “All AI photo analysis” setting must be enabled in the app settings menu. This setting is off by default and must be opted into. Currently, this feature is only available in beta.
Subscriptions and costs for this service may apply.

Data Shared with AI Models: When “All AI photo analysis” is turned on:
A copy of the photo is sent for object recognition.

When “All AI photo analysis” is turned off:
No photo is sent to the AI model service.
When sharing photos with Google Photos, Google may conduct its own AI modeling service, which is beyond Tagara's control.

Purpose of Sharing Data: Photos taken in the app are shared with AI models to obtain a list of recognized items in the photos, allowing the app to suggest items detected in the photo. The data returned is a best attempt at detection and the list may be inaccurate. Users need to be aware of this.
Photos taken previously are not sent to AI models.

How AI Models Use the Data: The AI models analyze the photos to identify items, improving the user experience by providing suggestions of what items are in the photos. Users can then select the items rather than typing them all.

User Control and Opt-Out Options: Users have the option to disable photo analysis within the app settings under “All AI photo analysis,” preventing their photos from being shared with AI models.

Ensuring Responsible and Ethical Use: We partner only with reputable third-party providers who adhere to strict data protection and ethical guidelines. Tagara is not responsible for how third parties handle the data given.
